Two years ago, a friend found a starved black kitten hiding in a flooring warehouse, hiding inside a roll of carpeting, crying piteously from hunger.  She wasn't pretty – she was just a skeleton of a kitten, with huge ears that reminded us of the goblins in Gringott's Bank – but when he brought her to us, we of course gave her a home.  She's a beautiful black cat now, although still tiny.  Of course we named her Goblin!  She sleeps on my lap every time I sit down to stitch, which is very helpful when one is stitching on silk gauze – 48 count and smaller – and although she adds her own bit of fur to my work from time to time, it is a natural fiber, after all!

Aww, I have had many rescue kitties in our lives, some of which have turned out to be the sweetest cats of all time.  We found a little black kitty, starving and in a gutter.  He must have been through some tough stuff since all he could manage was a whisper meow the rest of his life – one of the best cats I've ever had though.  How can you not take them in?

Goblin is an awesome name for a cat!  And stitching on 48 count silk gauze??? YOU CRAZY!  Haha.  :D  You should show off some of that work!  We'd love to see it!
