I was helping cut out costumes at church one night and my husband texted to my phone "Good news the cat has taken up tatting!"  I knew immediately that she was playing with some balls of thread I had been untangling from my bag the day before and had set on the table.  He said he started pulling on one of the threads, but it had a lure (shuttle) at the end and that it took some doing, but he landed the "cat" fish and he thought she would look good mounted on the wall.  Ha Ha.  I was laughing so hard I could not tell the story to my friend who is also a cat lover.  I could just imagine the thread with the shuttle hopping along the carpet and the cat pouncing.  This forum is a good idea.  I look forward to many stories.

HAHA cat fish!  You know shuttles do look a little like fish themselves, don't they?

I am surprised your husband knew that it was tatting – mine still just calls anything I do "sewing".  Hehe.  :)

Great story!
