Lemon Chocolate Cake

Lemon Cake

  • One box lemon cake mix
  • One small box instant lemon pudding (instant vanilla works well, too if you want to reduce the lemon flavor)
  • one-half cup milk
  • one-half cup oil
  • one cup sour cream
  • four eggs – add one at a time and beat well after each egg
  • one tsp. almond flavoring

Spray Bundt pan with cooking spray. Bake cake at 350 for about 50 minutes or until toothpick comes clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before inverting on plate. When cool, ice with powdered sugar frosting with almond flavoring.

Chocolate Cake

  • one box chocolate cake mix
  • one small instant chocolate pudding
  • one-half cup oil
  • one-half cup water
  • one cup sour cream
  • 4 eggs, add one at a time and mix well
  • Stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips

Bake in greased Bundt pan at 350 for 45 – 50 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes and then invert on a plate.

Frosting

  • one cup of sugar
  • one-third cup butter
  • one-third cup of milk
  • 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips

Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Add 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips. Stir until smooth and cool. Keep stirring until smooth and thick.
