Broiled Bagel Sandwiches
Cut plain bagels in half and lightly butter the insides. Place as many as you need on a broiler pan. Place slices of ham or turkey on first, add thinly sliced onions, green peppers, and any other sandwich fillings you like on top of the meat. Sometimes I just use the meat and cheese. Top with a slice of Farmer Cheese, or your favorite cheese that melts well under the broiler. Put broiler pan on top rack in oven with broiler setting on the oven. Keep door slightly open and watch it constantly so it doesn’t burn. It’s done when the cheese is melted and nicely brown.
These are good with a lettuce salad, chips or fruit, and so quick to prepare on the spur of the moment.
